Simply one of the better RPG's you can get your hands on.

User Rating: 9 | Suikoden III (Konami the Best) PS2
Suikoden III is not the type of RPG that makes everyone, everywhere drop what they are doing and pick up their controllers. Let's face it, it is not for everyone. What I can say is that those who did play this remarkable game remember the experience it gives.

The Good:

+ Offers a large variety of characters like all Suikoden games, featuring the obvious ones who you want to use in every major battle, to the ones you just have fun watching fight.
+ Characters also bring life to the game, with all sorts of personalities and appearances.
+ Great story with multiple viewpoints and important decisions, a few of which affect the entire course of the game.
+ Combat is simple to learn, yet fun to use overall.
+ Animation is nice. The graphics aren't meant to wow you, but they definitely do not disappoint.
+ The intro movie itself is absolutely amazing in my opinion
+ The types of combat there is (standard fights, duels, and large strategic battles) offer a variety of fun and excitement to the game
+ There are 3 bonus stories along with the 3 main characters which is a nice addition to it all
+ Music is not a dominant feature like some games like final fantasy, but is still great
+ Rune magic system is simple but effective.

The not so good:

- The intro is great, but there are no more cut scenes like it.
- The bonus stories are not as fulfilling as you would like them to be.
- Duels are fun but easy because characters usually don't change what they say before they do a certain type of attack, making them easy to predict.
- The three main stories tell the events from multiple perspectives, but do not have have an effect on each other. (The way you do things in one character's story doesn't really change anything in another story)
