Working off all the best aspects of Subnautica, Subnautica Below Zero provides a surprising amount of fresh creatures, wildlife and underwater landscapes to explore. Some aspects of the alien-infused story are not quite as believable as Subnautica, but the underlying story of uncovering the secrets of the protagonist's lost sister pull it together and make for an enjoyable unfolding mystery. Overall the quality of life improvements mixed with base add-ons and unique vehicle elements make the game an absolute must-play for exploration or survival enthusiasts.
