While you get indie devs that can make unique gaming experiences there are also some indie devs that unleash a glut of worthless load of trashy shovelware titles that are an easy target for Trophy/Achievement Hunters. Now you got a developer who shamelessly calls itself Game Achievements Limited which (as noted in the title) release games that are made entirely for those who are Trophy/Achievement Hunters who shamefully find super easy games that they can earn a Platinum Trophy on. Stroke The Cow released for both the PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 is one of those suspects.
Stroke The Cow is one of those clicker-based titles similar to people laughably called games like My Name is Mayo and also The Cabybara P who I also reviewed just recently. In it you press a button to (what else) Stroke The Cow on screen on a purple background while generic music is playing in the background. It gets boring super quickly as there is nothing of value to this 'game' and having to press that Cross Button so many times can tire your finger out. Also, why a simple plain colour background like purple? At least My Name is Mayo, and other shovelware titles at least had a background that you could look at, they weren't detailed and weren't very good but hey they had an actual background. You don't even see any animations or any sound effects from stroking the cow and the cow itself looks so badly drawn and doesn't even fill the screen.
The worst thing about this game is the price tag it costs; it may not have the cost of a full-price game but seriously £3.29 is just way too much for it. It takes about seven minutes or so of mind-numbing button mashing to see that Platinum Trophy on your gamer profile to show how much time you wasted on this.
Like all other shovelware titles that have been made it exists for that Platinum Trophy purpose and honestly the money the 'game' charges you for is way too much for what it is worth, if you spent that much on this trash it is £3.29 and seven minutes you will never see again. Like with The Cabybara P and its series of games that are the same as each other Stroke The Cow also has its own series like Stroke The Dog, Stroke The Fish, Stroke The Rabbit, there is even a Stroke the Tortoise one and also a Stroke The Spider one, Yes, it's true I am not joking about it and they also play the same as each other and even have that same purple background and music. Seriously you would rather go to your nearest farm and get a cow to kick you while the farmer throws a barrel of milk that he took from a cow at your face rather than wasting any extra time on terrible excuses of 'games' like this.
