Was really hyped about this game being 25 odd years since I have played a new Streets of Rage game(with exception to the excellent Streets of Rage Remake in 2011) and was not disappointed with this worthy fourth entry in the series the game plays like a more refined Streets of Rage 2 with some new mechanics which enhance the experience. The animation style of the new game is gorgeous and and the city never felt so alive. Since the game takes place in the same city as the older games it is very welcome to see nods to the older games here, there also seems to be some influence from Streets of Rage Remake in particular Stage 7. One thing I was slightly disappointed by was that "moving levels" used a continuous background loop alot of the time instead of stop start that was present in the older games this is something I would love to see fixed in updates of the game if possible although this is just nitpicking.
