A beautiful port, with added features!

User Rating: 8.1 | Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting X360
Take one of the most-player tournament fighting games of yester-year, add online play and achievements, and this is what you get!

It's got everything you could hope for, really. The graphics are updated for HD screens. The sounds are too much alike to even tell which is better....without careful study, at least. The controls are just how you remember. The combos are all there, intact. The AI is still unforgiving and does what many would consider 'cheating' now-a-days.

If you haven't played an old school SF game, now's your chance. At least download the demo and try it out. You'll at least get a history lesson on the series that made 'qcf + punch' a standard move in all fighting games. What you'll see is a simple-on-the-outside fighting game, but with enough invested time, you'll see a battle of mind versus mind. A word of caution, however -- don't let the AI get you down. The AI is still something that bothers most gamers today. It doesn't have to charge up the 'charge' moves. It can react to your button pushes, instead of actually reacting to your character's animation, making it almost always doing the right move to thwart you. And it seems to always pop out of your submissions faster than humans, and keep you in submissions longer than humans can. WIth that being said, player vs player is where it's at.

The only flaws I see this game having is A) the lack of ability to watch the current game that's going on in 'Quarter Match' mode. If you're going to wait in line to play, just like in the days of the arcade, you should have the ability to watch the current matches. And then B) the ability that you have to unplug your 360 to prevent the match from being over, which negates your current match from ever happening....usually being used to cheat your opponent out of a win. Yes, this has happened plenty already....only once to me, but it's frustrating just to know that people are that upset about losing, or tarnishing their record.

I hope you enjoy this game the way I do -- this is (as of the time of typing this) one of the most downloaded games on Xbox Live Marketplace...find out why, and play it!
