Warhawk players and fans of multiplayer games will not be disappointed with this successor of the PS3 hit, Warhawk.

User Rating: 8.5 | Starhawk PS3
Starhawk is a sleeper hit. There are several things that this game seamlessly pulls off that you wouldn't even appreciate because it's all happening so flawlessly all around you. You're driving a massive, heavily detailed vehicle, and the next thing you know you're on a glider, and the next thing you know you're in a mech suit and suddenly you're flying through a massive, beautifully detailed map. This game doesn't sacrifice one thing for another. The gun mechanics are more impressive than that of its predecessor, Warhawk. The maps are bigger and the environment is updated with more beautiful details. The game features up to 32 players in a map and the maps have different scales and variation for you to enjoy. My favorite feature is the ability to play your own music in the background while you kill and enjoy your game. It has all the basic multiplayer modes you've come to know and love; capture the flag, zones, deathmatch, team deathmatch, hero/assassination, and dogfights. The story mode may be the only downside as it is a solid story and solid title, but it doesn't fully prepare you for it's online portion, which honestly doesn't necessarily have to count as a down side. The online is a bit difficult at first and if you find yourself being overwhelmed by expert players, the games User Interface is easy enough to navigate and you can set filters to only show you games will beginner players like you to join. The mechanics and elements of the online is easy to learn and you'll seamlessly catch on before you know it.
The game runs mainly on a build and destroy portion. You can build forts and gates and ammo and vehicle booths to use in the game. And these are all destructible. You won't be bored as there are constant explosions and crazy gunfights going on around you and you can get attacked from any angle by anything from ground players to players using tanks, turrets, starhawks, gliders and jet packs. This game is simply packed with goodness. It's recommended. If you're a Warhawk player and you're worried about whether you'd like this or not, go ahead and pick it up. You won't regret it. I believe Sony does have a multiplayer only edition for 20 or 30$ on PSN.
