A true masterpiece that was worth the wait.

Alright, first I'd like to start off by saying that this game was worth the full priced 60$. I'm not the type of person who spends 60$ on every new release so at first I was skeptical. In the end however it payed off.

First I'd like to talk about the singleplayer. The singleplayer was really well done with the soundtracks, side-missions, and the overall story. The game itself didn't feel like a rushed game that was made in just a few years. I can see why it took a decade to make this game. The story revolved around Jim Raynor after the events of SC1. The achievements are addicting to get and the cinematics were extremely detailed.

Now for the multiplayer. This is where everything is where its at. The custom games are as lively as blizzards other games. There are many options, desert strike, DOTA, mafia, nexus wars, etc. etc. This is fun when you don't feel like playing the melee games or if you're not much of a competitive person and I personally like how it's relied on the community for the fun. And then there's the other two modes. There's cooperative mode but it's not really that popular and it's only useful for just practicing against bots. Then there's the ranked games.

The competitive part of the multiplayer was really focused. You start off in a practice league which you can play up to 50 games against other newbies who aren't used to the game yet. You can either choose to play the practice league or skip it and go play 5 placement matches to determine what league you belong in. There are 7 leagues, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Masters and Grandmasters, you can only intially get into the platinum league at the highest with placement matches and masters are the top 5% of diamond while the grandmasters are the top 200 players of the server. I'd just like to say that the 3 races have all been altered a bit from SC1 but overall the races are all balanced. There are seasons that occur every 2 months (As of season 4) and there are maps added and some removed every new season which keeps things fresh. There isn't a thing that doesn't feel like it's been slacked off from blizzard and every peak of it seems top notch.
