This game has some bright moments, but those are hampered by the dark spots.

I'll just get right into it, starting with the gameplay. The combat consists of hacking away with your lightsaber and using variety of different moves via the force. The lightsaber fighting is somewhat unresponsive, and the weapon is supposed to be swung in whichever direction you swing the remote, but that doesn't work at all. But that doesn't mean it can't be fun to swing away at some hopeless locals and baddies. As for the force moves, you can pick up enemies and throw objects at them, slam them to the ground, and throw them across the area just from this one move. You can also zap people with electricity, execute a powerful push, and cause a "force explosion," which will cause all surrounding people and objects to go flying. These can all be unresponsive as well as too responsive, but when done right, they're all fun. Sadly this is really all the game has to offer.

As for the story (Spoiler alert for those that actually care), it's probably the worst I've played through. You start as Darth Vader's apprentice. Could be interesting, right? well then, out of nowhere, you and a team of random people that don't really play much of a part in the game are rebelling against him. Then suddenly you have the choice to kill either the emperor or Darth Vader. Make sense? not to me. There are two endings, depending on who you decide to fight at the end, but I could care less what the other ending was because it was such a weak story. It wasn't at all emotional, and when it tried to be (the pilot kissing the apprentice near the end), it desperately failed. There was absolutely no relationship progression between them, making the kiss fully unpredictable, in the bad way.

Graphics were clippy, polygon-ish, and ill formed. I've seen way better on the Wii, it could have been so much better. What could have been an attractive-looking chick pilot, was just hard to look at. Every time she moved the polygons called her skin would shift position, along with the other characters. But I really noticed the poor graphical work in her more than anyone else.

What could have been a great game ended up a short, poorly controlled game with a bad story and uninspiring graphics. But if your looking to run around killing things for 6-8 hours, go for the game. But I would recommend a version other than the Wii one for the best experience.
