Dissapointing is putting it nicely, this game doesn't live up to my expectations.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars for the Nintendo Gamecube is a fun game at times, but when you really get into the game it doesn't satisfy nearly as much as you would like it to.

First off, the gameplay. Basically, the A Button is used to shoot, the B Button is for your units special weapon, the Y Button is a turbo of sorts, and the L and R buttons are used to shift left and right. There is no lock on button, but when you're looking at an enemy it'll automatically lock on. This is in fact a horrible feature becuase if you look slightly away from the enemy you'll lose targeting. And since the L and R buttons don't work too well either you've basically got to stay put when targeting onto an enemy which makes you a sitting duck for them to fire back. Also, there is virtually no flexibility with the camera. You use the C stick to shift the camera but all it does is look up and down. Another poor feature.

The graphics are also a pretty large letdown. The world itself has decent graphics at best, there's nothing really wrong with them but they've got no originality. It's just land, bleh. Also, sometimes when you die the screen will shake wildly, this doesn't really effect anything because it's game over anyway, but is still very annoying. The only small plus about the graphics would be the explosions. But real great explosions are few and far between, as most of your enemies die a simple death ... and not to mention the fact that sometimes they don't even die a way that's humanly possible. Weird tumbling for the loss.

While sound isn't overwhelmingly important in this game, it still doesn't appeal very much. There's no soundtracks or anything like that, just some classic Star Wars tunes along the way. But oddly enough, either they've remixed them or inserted them in odd ways because they're not memorable in the slightest bit.

The replay value is probably the biggest plus in the game. While the game is for the most part a letdown, any Star Wars fan should still enjoy the game since it's based around the characters you've come to know and love.

Multiplayer is only a small factor of this game, and it might very well be more fun than the regular game. Whether it's the fun of having a friend to play with, or the fact of actually destroying your 'friend', it really is quite enjoyable.

Overall, I don't suggest this game. Even from a Star Wars fan like myself it's just not worth the money.
