For three bucks I really shouldn't complain, but...

I bought this game at a used game store last year because it was a rainy Sunday afternoon and I was bored. I mean, how far wrong can you go with a three dollar game? Heck, pick up a six pack on the way home too and make an afternoon of it.

When I got home I popped it in the n64 and and tapped a brew. Well, I soon discovered that Mr. Empire was a platform arcade shooter. No character, no plot, no adventure, just jump-run-jump-shoot-jump-flinch...etc. You get the idea. I can't really blame the game's company or designers because when this thing came out in '98 it cost about $50 and anyone forking out that kind of dough for an amusment is going to do a little homework to make sure it's what they want. Mine was an impulse buy for peanuts.

No offense to any fans of Shadows, I just don't like arcade games.
