This game combines a great FPS experience and Star Wars for a great game.

If you are a FPS addict or a dedicated Star Wars fan you will fall in love with Republic Commando. You are a Commando for the Galactic Republic at war! The minute you step on the barren wastelands of Geonosis, you are knee deep in explosions, blaster fire, and battle droids. The game starts of easy with you only confronting mindless, standard battle droids and an occasional Geonosian or 2, but once you get to about the third level you'll see tougher enemies like super battle droids and the devastating Geo elite. The enviroments and character models are amazing considering other games of the time. If you get up close to a downed BD you can see all the knicks and scratches. The music also compliments the game, like when you are stranded on a deserted cruiser, all your teammates are down and you can't contact anyone. You feel the tension rising and your heart beating faster. So, you know the graphics and the music are good, but what about the gameplay. This game has some of the best FPS action I've seen and features an advanced command system so you can tell your team to set up a defense, plant a charge, set up a sniping position and a number of other things. On top of that you only fail if you and your squad die, so if you deplete your life you can call for someone to revive you. All in all, you will have a blast playing Republic Commando.
