Republic Commando is Star Wars how it should be, gritty, intense, awesome.
Anyway, the graphics are good, not perfect, but good. It may not be outstanding like Halo 2, but their pretty darn close. Also, the voice work is great, awesome, the random sayings in a fight arn't repetitive, and it sounds solid. The sounds of guns and blaster get you right into the mood of the fight.
The single-player is great, the main aspect actually, I'm not sure, but I dont think your going to find much of an online community. Sad, really. Anyway the SP is intense, gritty and you know what? They put gore in it! Droids are ripped in half and Geonosians fall apart at your knife. Even tho Trandoshans just bleed, its enough to keep it nice. The game is a little hard, as even tho when you get knocked down, you can call 1 of your team over to heal you, and vice versa. But this feature will not take away any difficulty. As super battle droids are the new Hunter(from Halo) but harder, you waste entire clips into these things, and the only real way to kill 'em fast is the sniper and the grenades. The grenades are sweet btw. Theres a good variety of weapons in this game, not as much as Halo's but theres a good amount. Multi-player is fun too, as theres split sceen w/ your friends and online. The maps are good and theres a nice weapon layout on all of them. Theres also 4 game modes to choose from: Team Deathmatch, Free for all, Capture the flag, and Assult. All are fun.
So overall this is a good game and I would recommend ti to any FPS or strategy fan.
