I am not a Star Wars hardcore fan, I became a fan of recent content specially the "Mandalorian" series and I've slowly become more interested in this universe. So after my latest Star Wars exposure with the Obi-Wan TV show, associated with a good Steam promotion I gave Jedi: Fallen Order a try, and it was worth it!
Let's start with the gameplay, first it's a very fluid third person experience, I actually felt good while maneuvering around both during exploration as well as combat.
The graphics are simply spectacular, I was able to play with full specs and 4K experience and it's a sight for the eyes, a great achievement in that regard.
I really loved that this is not a full open world game (we have had our fair share of those these few last years) and the unlockable content was purely esthetic I was still engaged in getting it all!
There has been a while that a game made me want to complete it fully and this one did, all the positive aspects above associated with a challenging adventure and a plot that has the perfect balance between being cannon to the actual Star Wars entire plot and at the same time having its own elements made this game a great surprise to me.
I only have one critic about the gameplay, I felt a little bit frustrated that early on even if you want to explore a full planet you cannot because you need to unlock certain abilities by completing the main story, and the down side of that is that in some planets you will need to take the same route that you have already explored (multiple times depending on your abilities) and it can take some time.. also you should be able to recall back to the ship faster.
But those are small details, it's a great experience overall I feel that this game should've received even more praise than it did!
