Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Opportunity

User Rating: 5 | Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order PS4

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is yet another game that suffers from divided personality. Big pros and big cons with little happy medium.

Graphics: This game looks very unfinished. The cinematics reminded me of a PS2 title. And then there are the glitches. This game created strange artifacts and crapped out on me MANY times. It even completely crashed twice. I've never had that happen on any game I've played on PS4.

Sound: This is the highlight of SWJFO. Here you'll find some of the most epic original music ever heard in a Star Wars game. It genuinely makes you feel like you're in that universe!

Story: The tale and characters are sort of compelling, I suppose. But it's nothing groundbreaking in terms of Star Wars.

Gameplay: Whereas it is kind of fun to wield a light-saber and force push storm-troopers off cliffs, I'm a seasoned gamer and found the combat VERY difficult to get used to. And many of the rewards you achieve throughout the game seem arbitrary and hardly add anything to the experience. Like customizing the hilt of your light-saber when you rarely see it. And the load times are some of the worst I've ever seen in console game. Often loading a save point or from level to level will literally take a full minute of staring at a black screen.

Did I enjoy myself? Sort of. Would I recommend it? Maybe only if you see it in the bargain bin. Unfortunately, the force is not that strong with this one.
