Not quite as smooth as Rogue Squadron, but a very fun game!

This game is very similar to the Rogue Squadron games, but concentrates on events happening behind the scenes during the Phantom Menace. The missions in this game were more varied than in Rogue Squadron though, with a lot using more ground based vehicles like STAPS and land speeders. The controls could be a bit awkward in certain cases (mostly in the battles that took place in deep space), but once I got used to them it was fine. There were 15 misssions, plus some bonus missions available depending on how well I performed during the 15 regular missions. The missions aren't long, but they are long enough. The only thing that may have made this game any better would simply be to add more of them. The only "complaints" I had were that the gold medal requirements on most of the missions were ridiculous, unreal! I didn't even bother trying for gold, I was happy if I gained silver. And lastly, the dogfighting with other starfighters I found frustrating, as I found you had to be virtually right on top of them for the lasers to connect. Shooting down another fighter from a distance was virtually impossible. But overall a great game, lots of fun, just missing a slight polish.
