Decent Star Wars Game
Graphics are decent for the GC. The levels are fairly large and some of the texture work lack detail, it seems, as a result. There are some clipping issues but nothing I found bothersome.
Gameplay is generally fun. The controls are a little loose and the jet pack platforming elements can be very frustrating at times because of this. The Auto-target lock system, similar to the the 'Z-targeting in Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is merely ok- there will be times when you lock on the wrong enemy. AI isn't remarkable, but the game makes up for this by throwing dozens of stock Star Wars villains such as Rodians and Tusken Raiders at you. The bosses at the end of each level generally provide a fun challenge.
In conclusion, if you are a Star Wars fan, this is definitely worth a rental. It has quality Star Wars production values and a decent story. Those interested in the action aspects of the game will likely be disappointed. Of the vast pantheon of Star Wars games, this one, IMHO, ranks as above-mediocre.
