Does offer some addicting multiplayer, wouldn't say it's worth picking up at full price

It's been over ten years since there was a good Star Wars Battlefront game, I really enjoyed playing both Battlefront and Battlefront II in the past for its addicting multiplayer and Galactic Conquest. But when people talk about Battlefront on net-gen consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One, there's just mixed views on the game overall.

The Star Wars franchise has been around since 1977 with memorable moments from the original trilogy which were Episode IV, V and VI. It is more of a reboot of the Battlefront franchise instead of a sequel but it's more focused based on the war between the Rebellion and The Empire. There is no story campaign for Battlefront but there is however tutorial missions like flying an X-Wing or a Tie-Fighter but there are also Challenges as well like playing as Darth Vader and see how many Rebels you can take down on Hoth.

Multiplayer is the strongest selling point for Battlefront especially when it comes to playing against other players online you can play from 8 - 40 players. Both Supremacy and Walker Assault can be addicting and fun at the same time when it comes to multiplayer where in Walker Assault if you are a Rebel you have to destroy one of the Empire's AT-AT's by calling in Y-wing bombers. Or if you are n the Empire side protect the Walkers while utilizing their mighty weaponry to crush the Rebel objective. For Supremacy you are trying to take advantage of both ground and air vehicles in order to secure victory for your team. There are other modes as well like Cargo, Fighter Squadron, Droid Run, Blast which is your classic Team Deathmatch mode, Heroes vs Villains, Hero Hunt, Extraction and Drop Zone.

All of the matches can be fun but the odd few can feel a little repetitive depending on how much experience you want to get out of Battlefront. The more online matches you play you'll be able to rank up, the more you rank up you'll be able to customise your own avatar solider and choose what weapons and grenades you can have on you. There are scatted icons laying over the map on each planet you battle through like a rocket launcher or thermal detonators or playing as either a hero or villain like Luke Skywalker or Boba Fett. Depending on which side you play as you'll have a health-timer bar if you play as the hero or villain so you are more or less trying to score more points for yourself and see how many players you can take out before you get killed or run out of time.

The Graphics and visuals look really well-detailed when it comes to a Star Wars game especially on a next-gen system playing in either first-person mode or third-person depending on your style of gameplay. Each of the planets you battle through like Hoth, Endor, Tootine, Sullust or Jakku are very well-detailed and almost close to the films themselves which seems really impressive to look at making you feel you are part of the battle. But what is really disappointing is the voice acting which sounds awful to listen to especially when you hear Darth Vader voice which doesn't sound near as perfect as to what James Earl Jones would sound like in the movies; hearing Darth Vader's voice in Battlefront is just makes the game less fun in general.

But the soundtrack does a great job at least hearing John Williams soundtrack makes Battlefront enjoyable at the very least, there is a Season Pass for Battlefront which allows you to get more content that available at the moment and what's to come in the future as well which is worth picking up for anyone who's a fan of the Star Wars franchise. But for a fan who loved the original Battlefront franchise you'll get some fun out of this game but won't get the same experience as you once did in the past what it is lacking is a Single-Player Campaign story which could have made the game enjoyable or at least taking a break from the multiplayer. There is trophy support if you want to try and collect all trophies for this. It tries hard to be a good Star Wars Battlefront game but it does offer some fun when it comes to multiplayer but just feels like it felt rushed and wish it could have had more extra content. I wouldn't say it's worth the full price but worth taking a look if you are a Star Wars fan at a cheaper price.
