This is what Star Trek should be! A story about people, not ships.

User Rating: 9 | Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force PC
Star Trek Voyager was the last solid Star Trek show on TV, and because of its success it had one game created in its own image. That game is Star Trek Voyager.

You play Ensign Monroe, whether it be Alex or Alexander, and your part of an elite tactical squad on Voyager called the Hazard Team. When the going gets tough and diplomacy has failed, it your job to go in and rectify the situation.

Right from the beginning, you're immersed in a large Borg Cube, searching for your team which has been captured by the Borg for Assimilation. You'll note that everything looks and feels like Trek Lore, although by our standards the graphics are now extremely dated, it still makes your jaw drop at how you feel like you're right there, shooting your way through waves of enemies, trying to get to your team.

Now it's true, the games graphics are dated, the music leaves much to be desired, and the gameplay is a bit conventional, but what truly sets this apart is the squad you play with. They're full bodied personalities will have you remembering their names, and mourning their deaths (though which ones I shall not tell,) long after you've forgotten your more recent squad names. The story is full and lengthy, the characters drive you onward, and the conclusion is satisfying. All in all, this is a game I would suggest for anyone who is an FPS fan and has at least some interest in the phenomena that is Star Trek.
