This game truely set the standards for modern RPG real-time combat gaming.

User Rating: 9.3 | Star Ocean SNES
Gamplay - The gameplay here is just great. It's completely real-time and has done away with the turn-based, and is one of the first RPGs to do so. You pretty much pick a character that you wish to control in battle, and control him. All of the other characters on your team can be set to do whatever you like, such as go all out, stand there and do nothing, focus on healing, etc, then they automatically start doing whatever they are set to do. You can also do things like cook, reproduce items, smith very rare weapons and armor, etc.

Graphics - The graphics for this game are superb for SNES (SF)! It was one of the last games made for the SF, and it's obvious too... the game is very colorful, the sprites are well designed, and the backgrounds look gorgeous.

Sound - The sound is very decent, but it's just like most RPGs... once you stay into the game for a while, you don't really even hear it anymore.

Value - This game can be played over and over due to all of the things you can create, and the various endings that are given.

All-in-all, this game is incredible, and needs to be checked out if you are a fan of RPGs! Like mentioned in previous reviews, it's actually WORTH learning to read Japanese to play!
