Spyro Loses His Flames

Spyro the Dragon was always a great franchise on Sony's PlayStation, but Insomniac dropped it and went straight for Ratchet and Clank. Digital Eclipse can't really make a story from Spyro.

What makes this GameBoy Advance title mediocre is that the camera is really unneccesary. It's aerial view, and it's not really that fun. The missions and moving around is really hard to do, for those of you who are used to Spyro's PS controls. Spyro is more than just a hand held, this should have been for the PS2. Sound is the only thing that succeeds, some good sounds from Spyro 3, plus some okay music. But the real letdown is that is rehashed story from Spyro 3. I think this game is a bit uninspired and unoriginal. I didn't find it fun.

The playability basically ruins this unworthy title. Spyro: Season of Ice is one heck of an icy game that you Spyro fans really won't appreciate, stick with the first three games for the PlayStation.
