A fantastic little gem!

They what you can't complete makes you stronger...wait that's not right...well when I was a lot younger than I am now I tried so hard to get that 100% completion. However my skills as a gamer back then were nothing like they are now. So after a few years had passed by I decided to go grab a fresh copy of the game for my PS2 and see if I could reach my goal.

The mind blowing levels such as idol springs and my personal favourite breeze harbour help immerse you in hours of gem collecting and outrageous orb challenges. The game itself has a short lifespan if your only interested in following the humour's storyline. However the depth of the game when collecting all orbs and gems is phenomenal!. You'll find that the game gets progressively harder as you journey to through the three home worlds of Avalar: Summer forest, Autumn plains and Winter tundra.

My experience of the game was as amazing now as it was when I was a kid. It was like a trip down memory lane...but with a game instead of memories. In my opinion this game is as good now as it was in 1999 and I think any platform/adventure gamer should give this one a go before buying one of the newer/awful Spyro games.

For me this game hits all the right buttons. However a word of warning for any younger gamers out there. The game is aimed at a younger age bracket, although I think to fully feel the benefit of the game you need to experienced with a wide variety of gaming platforms in order to gain and enjoy the full experience.

I would rate this game 10 out of 10 for humour, lifespan and great characters and a story line. This is a must have game.
