Going by first impressions, I would have thought Midway had (for some reason) cut the budget sice SpyHunter as this time there's more than a whiff of rushed and rouffness about the game. But beneath it's rough exterior there are little touches that wern't in it predasessor, of which i'll get around to thoughtout my review.

First up is the cutscenes featuring the new G8155 Interceptor, from the opening, showing the inner workings of the G8155 to the final showing the destruction of Thurgoods ark, the cutscenes are on par with SpyHunter. But strangley this time the number has been drasticly reduced to around 4 or 5 accross the whole game, whereas previously there was about cutscene for each mission. The vehicle animations aren't a patch on previous one, but they just about get the job done.

The weapons (both Offensive and Deffensive) list feature the standard equipment of smoke screen, oil slick and new weapons such as various calibre gattling guns, mine deployers, sheilds and now the ability to jettison the outer shell (to become a weapon in itself) of the Interceptor to become it's bike form. There is also the option of switch the car to offroad mode causing the top speed to dip a little but giving you more traction, and it does make a difference.

It has to appear sometime and this time the Peter Gunn theme makes a welcome return though when it does rear it's heard it's married with the games generic soundtrack. One piece of music to note is Vanessa Carltons "Dark Carnival", which fits quite well and could've/should've been carried over to future SpyHunter game(s).
