Appauling - dreadfully inaccurate controls, carelessly coded and poor gameplay. Leave it in the bargain bucket.

We picked this one up from the half price bin, it went back a day later (good old EB Games return policy)!

I ranked it as Difficult to play because it is frustratingly challenging to get any decent quality play out of it - the controls are simply that bad.

The golf is particularly dreadful, especially when compared to the Wii Sports version. It is nearly impossible to get a reliable short putt, the ball often bounces against obstructions which are nowhere near it and on more than one occasion we were left viewing the play from inside an obstruction which made the view entirely black!!

The horseshoe throwing is teeeeedddddiiiious, it just goes on and on and on and requires almost no skill whatsoever, unless you rate patience as a skill. We didn't actually finish a game, it was too boring.

The badminton seemed to have a dreadful lag in the response to moves, when it responded at all! Often we would try to make a move only to see the wrong move made after the time required.

Lawn Darts was yet another tediously simple game, requiring about ten seconds to learn all there is to know - no skill required. Once you mastered the basics the game became yet another no brainer with the only challenge being trying to get to the end without falling asleep.

Basketball introduced a novel concept by requiring the Wiimote be held face down, "bouncing" the ball by swinging it up and down then using the B button to hold and release the ball in shooting mode. Frankly we found this novelty to be more annoying since it added nothing to the experience and made the control more difficult to hold and use - nice try Ubisoft but you dropped the ball instead.

The volleyball was almost tolerable though not enough to save the entire suite of games. Nonetheless is still suffered from the same lag problems of some of the other games.

All the games suffer from repeated cutaway scenes between almost every turn, either showing a repeat of the previous move or the Sports Party logo - all totally unnecessary and slowing the games down to an intolerable level.

Basically this game suite gives the impression of a half-hearted set of games knocked up over a long weekend and rushed to the shops to try and capture some of the "real games" market of Wii Sports and Beach Sports... and it shows.

Unless you can find this game marked down to about 10% of the original price I honestly recommend you leave it on the shelf - it really doesn't even justify a full price rental, it's truly that bad.
