When you first sit down to play spore you are excited and ready for a game full of customization. Sadly as the game goes on you find that the great customization is all there is and a sickly game built around it. The game starts out great and you slowly change a tiny organism into a mammal and then proceed o control a tribe of the creature and eventually a civilization. The creature stage is a world of Warcraft clone and is fun but is too repetitive and has no real substance. The next two stages are very disappointing-the game turns into an r.t.s albeit overly simplified one. I often feel that 7 year old might feel the same as i did when playing the game- why are they treating me like an idiot. To sum it all up, i gave it a 6 because it is optimized brilliantly and has superb sound and in some parts game play. I felt it watered down but i do believe everyone should try it because there are some who enjoy it. You may even love the game if you enjoy being treated like a fool.
