Splatoon

Though its content was scarce at launch, current updates have made Splatoon a must play Wii U game. There's something deeply rewarding about splatting ink everywhere, and the look and sound of the ink is very organic and palpable. Multiplayer is where you'll find most of the fun, though the single player campaign has its share of memorable moments, especially during boss fights. Nintendo could have opted to make a 'Mario Ink' game, but instead it opted to launch a brand new IP and the move has paid off. Online multiplayer is next to perfect, though I wish local multiplayer was a little more fleshed out. This is a great game that will surely become a great franchise.
