Maximum Carnage may be very cool, but this is the best Spidey's game for the SNES.

I don't know why wasn't this game released in US, only in Japan. It is extremely exciting and good looking. Spider-man's movements are very flexible and fast, bringing much of the comic's action to the game. You can web-swing anywhere, throw web-bullets, stick to the ceiling and walls, punch and run a lot...
Besides, the game tries to look like a comic book, with balloons for the character's speeches and cool images between the stages. A lot of known faces shows up through the game, also.
The soundtrack is known from the 80's animated series "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends", which is a very cool add to the gameplay.

The bad thing is that you only have 60 seconds to go through each stage, which is very not funny since you have to run like crazy to clear and defeat the boss.

Still, I don't think that there's another Spider-man game that can beat this one in the SNES platform. It's quite a shame that it wasn't released outside Japan.
