This game fell below my expectations.

When Spider Man 3 was in the makings I heard some cool stuff about it. Open city, battle classic villains, follow the story or do your own thing, BLACK SUIT! But regrettably I never tuned back into later reviews.

I had listened to EGM's thoughts of the Wii's Mote + Nunchuck 2 handed web slinging. And thought it could be a great game. I also made the mistake of viewing other versions of the game (PS3, 360) and thinking they would do something similar on the Wii.

The Wii version is quite different from the others. Annoying controls, graphics were lousy even for the Wii, and I found the storyline to be almost nonexistent. Mixing other villains not directly part of the story line too often kept bringing me away from a nice flowing feeling.

The only parts of the game that I found enjoyable was when playing as "Black Spidey" but it too didn't last long enough because of the short time you are given to play as such at any given time.

Swinging through the city using both the Mote and Nunchuck for two handed web slinging was quite enjoyable (Although hard to get a hang of without swinging into buildings) and gave me the feeling of what it might be like to be Spider Man.

So all in all, if you are a Spider Man game fan and you have to get this game, buy a different version. If you want the feeling of swinging (almost) realistically through the city and wearing the Black suit, then buy it used. Otherwise this game is a waste of time and money.
