Not engaging. Pretty choppy visual effects. Combat is not marvel-like. Pretty down compared to other Spider-Man games.

I know that it is hard to be literally forced to make games right after having made a movie. Speaking marvel-wise, they have to make a video game for every newly made movie. Yet, Spider-Man 2 and the first one are completely different and incomparatively engaging. Yet, frankly speaking, they do not have to rush the games. They have all the time.

To start off, if anyone is sensitive to graphics that it makes the whole world to him or her this is not the right game for that person whatsoever. The only part of it that is partly above fair is Spider-Man himself. Yet the buildings, cars, and pedestrians are all box shaped and flat and seem as if they painted themselves thoroughly with matte. And even Spider-Man the game is pretty much visually superior to this and it all makes it worse that it is a greatly older game.

The story is pretty disoriented and pretty loose if I may. The missions are so short and damn easy. For anyone who likes a challenging game, this is not right for them. I practically finish missions in less than five whole minutes. Not a right game either of you bought it to spend some long time till other cool games come out.

Combat isn't impressive and not stimulating or even close to being like the ever-popular predeccesors of this game save for the actual comics. The combat is practically the same moves over and over again just that every once in a while they teach you how to add a single button click to the combo formulae.

You can't really do ANY side missions like you used to in Spider-Man 2. By the time you try to save one civilian the whole game would send you nuts reminding you that there is a mission back on schedule.

Honestly speaking, game-play wise, it isn't good at all and pretty much a disappointment to gamers with high expectations. Personally, I wouldn't blame their high expectations especially that we all know the greatness of the Ultimate Spider-Man (despite its shortness) and Spider-Man 2.

In short, it is not for people who look out after every penny. It wouldn't impress lovers of graphics either. Generally, its game-play is not all that. So, it isn't 'the game'.
