I picked up Spiderman 2 for Xbox knowing exactly what I was in store for. GTA inspired games are everywhere now, and only a few of them even deserve mentioning. This is definitely one of them. Spiderman 2 looks much better than the original, but more importantly, it plays much better. For everyone who was left scratching their head at the web slinging controls of the original, the sequel is amazingly easy to control. It is apparent that the developers listened to critics of the original and made improvements all over the gameplay. Combos are easier to make, and the amount of different moves is impresssive. There are many great parts of this game, and although the open ended enviroment is one of the biggest, it is also the thing that leads to the one thing I don't like. The extra side missions are very repetitive, and you really notice it later on. I almost didn't want to go for the extra moola for new combos later in the game, as I was avoiding additional side quests. Overall, Spiderman 2 is a good game, and is a great companion to go along with the movie that inspires it.
