While not a disaster, Enter: Electro is a big step down from its predecessor

User Rating: 6 | Spider-Man 2: Enter: Electro PS
Although 2000's Spider-Man is certainly not faultless, it's an irresistibly fun game that is filled with memorable moments. For some reason or another, Enter: Electro is a lot less notable - while it's a small improvement in some aspects, it's a major step back in the long run. The camera is the number one issue here, and though it was problematic in the first game, it is occasionally crippling in Enter: Electro. The storyline is also a lot more lackluster this time around; Spidey simply doesn't deliver as many great one-liners here either, and this lacks the lovable story that made the first game so memorable. Factor in the frustrating save system and iffy controls, and the end result is a fairly mediocre experience.

With that said, a lot of the levels are pretty fun, and odds are that if you enjoyed the first game, you will like this one too. For my money, though, there are definitely better superhero games out there. Still, if you're dying to get more Spider-Man for PS1, this is a mildly recommendable purchase.
