Sphinx is so polished its almost unbelievable. The game runs at 60 frames, is 740p on xbox(hi def) and the characters are charming and fun. The world is very open and beautiful with tons to explore and see. The egyptian theme is perfectly created here and shines through. Alot of people complained about no target lock on, but i found this more challenging and hectic. The music is elegant and did i mention how beautiful the game is? seriously i stopped so many times to look at the game world. great puzzles and just a well thought out game. Oh and damn the game clocks in around 20 hours, not including side quests. yay!! If your a fan of zelda, okami, jak and daxter, or even dark cloud, check this out, its more of an adventure than a platformer as some inexperienced gamers called it. The only complaints i have are very minor as no game is perfect; except for ocarina of time!!! one is there arent many boss fights which is kind of a letdown. two is that sphinx himself is not that great of a character. he is dull and lifeless. the mummy is hysterical and you really care about him. its his expressions through emotion and movements that win you over. and finally, the fact that there will never be a sequel because no one bought the game just hurts. Its a real winner please do yourself a favor and check it out. its like 8 dollars used, and the xbox version is best for the hi def, cube 2nd for the control scheme, and ps2 for being able to handle this game so smoothly. all versions support 480p, but 720 is the way to go and looks even better on your 360(upscales) thanks guys and please write me about your recommendations and thoughts. :) mike
