User Rating: 8.8 | Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy PS2
I own a PS2, so I can't play The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker for the Gamecube, but I found the perfect alternative: Sphinx And The Cursed Mummy. So here's how it goes, the game starts out with Sphinx, you're regular hero, who sent by the magician Imhotep to get the legendary Blade Of Osiris, and when you get the sword, you have to get out, but the chest with the portal key is out of your reach, so Sphinx takes a portal to somewhere else... Then the game switches to Tut, a prince of the city of Luxor, and Tut's sinister brother betrays Tut, turning him into a mummy, but Sphinx crashes the party, and Spinx and Tut's paths cross (in a good way, of course). If you ever played Ocarina Of Time, then you'll get the hang of the control scheme pretty easily, then its pure puzzle-solving for Tut, and the way to solve them is hilarious, yet really smart on its execution. The are graphics are extremely cool, with few glitches the game is polished nicely looks extremely well-done, yet a little on the cartoonish side, which is good, no doubt about that. The biggest, glaring flaw is the sound, make no mistake, the music sequences are superb, but there is no speech in the whatsoever, and there should have been some but there isn't and that's the only big problem. Anyone looking for a wilder ride than the one brought by Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker should pick this up, as it is The Legend Of Zelda for PS2 owners.
