Fun but frustrating.

Missed out on this game when it first came out and picked it up for the Nintendo 3DS by way of their Virtual Console.

You play a little dude exploring caves looking for treasure. Sort of reminded me of Pitfall II and H.E.R.O. for the Atari 2600.

The problem with this game is the mechanics. You make a mistake and you're deal and it seems like you misstep by one pixel and that's it, there's no margin of error. And it gets annoying fast.

However, with the Virtual Console, you can create a restore point and go back to it whenever you feel like and I found myself doing that quite a bit just to be able to see more of the game. There's nothing more frustrating than to get past an area and only die because you little dude jumps off a rope at the wrong point.

If you're an old school gamer and you didn't get a chance to play this, check it out, it's worth five bucks but be prepared to be frustrated, even with the ability to cheat with the restore point.
