A game that makes you sweat, but it's worth it!

I bought the game when it was on sale, because I wanted to play a shooter game actually. I read some mixed reviews and thought to myself that I will give it a try.

And boy, was I in for a treat. Now I must say that I'm sure not everybody will enjoy this game or perhaps even find it fun. But I did.

The game is a basic cover system shooter. The setting is in war ravaged Dubai, where you and your squad come. I won't give up much of the story, but I was really impressed that the game tackled such serious and psychological subjects. The game has several moments where you can decide about two options and while those options do not affect the game-play they affect the ending and the way YOU come to grasp with what you are doing. The ending is awesome, but perhaps you will have to watch it 2 times to really understand it.

In terms of game-play the game is nothing new. You duck behind cover and you shoot at the enemies. The game also utilizes sand, because you are in a desert, but that option is not used enough. You can only use the sand to your advantage at certain points, so there is no thrill in discovering which window to shoot at so that the sand will come pouring down on your enemies. Speaking of enemies, there are a lot of them ( in numbers ) and they can shoot and aim. On normal difficulty I was dying quite often until I understood how the game works. It is not an easy game by any means. A couple of bullets and the screen blurs and then you quickly die if you do not find a shelter.

All in all I really enjoyed this game and I actually beat this game 3 times. Twice to use all the options that the game gives me and the third time for trophy hunting.

I would recommend this game to whoever wants a serious shooter that shows that war actually affects the way a person thinks and behaves. And not always for the good
