The only problem with this game is that you need more than one active brain cell to play it....

I think that is where all of the bad reviews are coming from. A lot of gamer (especially the younger ones) don't want to put forth the effort to play any game that is more than racking up points and senseless violence. This is a real simulation of a complex system, and requires thought and planning. I think that is why a lot of console gamers don't like PC games also. Most PC games are of the RTS or simulation variety. Again, you have to exercise your brain for these. I also think that is why a lot of realistic simulations don't to well in the console market, but I digress. Back to Space Station Sim.

This game is great. The graphics are really good at depicting the subject matter. The sounds and music are good (although the music gets repetitive when going from module to module). The management aspect is awesome and it is fun to watch your astronauts go about their tasks and interact with each other.

The controls are simple to pick up. The is a pretty steep learning curve on getting a grip on managing your station. I've had five crews abandon ship already. I think the complexity makes it fun and engaging. I actually want a game that challenges me, and this one does!

If you are into simulations this is one to pick up! I had a chance to play it in pre-release and bought a release copy when it came out. The company is also committed to updates and patches, which is refreshing. So many companies fall down on supporting their product.
