6.5 on the other versions? Really?

User Rating: 8.5 | Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I PC
To start off, i saw this game on XBLA and PSN but i played the trials and thought nah its not so good but that's just first impressions. So then i heard Sega were releasing it on Steam, so i bought it and the first time i played it on the PC, i was like "Well okay, but its not really Sonic Adventure 2 good is it." But i got really bored, so then i decided to play it again. After that, i thought it was pretty good and Game Spot kinda gave it a low rating. You know what most reviewers are like, they play a game once and never give it a chance. Anyway the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that Casino Street Zone; Road of Cards, brought back some nostalgia from Casino Night zone. But with improvements. Cards that you can jump on and flip when you least expect it, extra bonuses like instead of pinball you jump and have to match the cards, some of the bonuses are rings and extra lives,so if your ever low on lives just go to that level. And a trail of cards you can run on. That, i wasn't expecting.
The Verdict
Overall i'm giving this an 8/10 because the game play was really good and I thought Dimps did a really good job on all the models, art etc. I think it was quite of a surprise when you get sucked into the game play. Something Sonic 06 really lacked, although it had a story that kept you entertained and get your attention away from all the glitches and rushed models . But the thing that really turned Sonic The Hedgehog 4 down was the physics, I mean standing on a slope and not slipping down it? And sometimes slow reaction times. Come on Sega, you didn't have that problem in the first, second and third games. But still i think Sega can still do what Nintendon't.
