A little better than the original but still no saving option.
Anyway,Tails is joining the party.

This game is like a continuation to the original,it's the same thing-the only diferences are Tails & the fact that now you can spin while you're sitting still.In the first game you had to to run in order to make the spin,it's was an necesary improvement,these were the things that missed but still,there is one more major thing missing-the option to save the game.You are forced to play all the game in one strike.Shame.It's the 16-bit era for Christ Sake!It's the flagship series of Sega!What were they thinking?(or not).The missed the most vital part.Tails is Yellow brown Fox that is as cute as our main Hero.He has 2 tails & can hover into the air(not fly,the little fellow try as hard as he can but he cannot fly:)There are 11 Zones i think,the last 3 having only 1 Act each & the rest of the Zones have 2 Acts,unlike the original which has 3 Acts at each Zone.We have again the easiest boss battles ever!Dr.Robotnik tries again to steal the Chaos Emeralds to corupt these beautifull lands:x...man, the first Zone Emerald Hill is very similar with Green Hill &...it's marvelous,very charming.The music there is probably the best from all the Sega Genesis sound-tracks ever!& with those rich colours & the sound of the rings it makes me want to play here forever while eating oranges & green apples.It's a true paradise,too bad it ends very quickly.My ideal Sonic game has the Green Hill, Emerald Hill & Ice Cap Zones in it:x With these 3 & others you have truly the best Sonic Game.This way,it's very hard to decide which one is the best.
The bonus stages are not missing,you will race with Tails in a tunnel that creates an optical illusion making you think it's 3D.The wing fortress level is very unique.You are high in the sky on a plane controlled by Tails(if you play with Sonic & Vice-versa) & whatever you do on that plane you will never as Tails will keep you on that plane even if you perform a spin-dash whatever.
Nowadays,Sonic the Hedgehog 2 it's as charming as it was back in 1992.It didn't lost it's fresh atmosphere that it creates.Sonic generated some worthy clones one year later in the persons of Jazz Jack Rabbit on PC & Bubsy on SNES.Sonic is a true legend.He needs a great spot in the Video-Game Museum.
