This was my very first Sonic game, and being that I didn't have a Wii (or GC), I loved this more than SADX and SA2B now.

Sonic the Hedgehog, my favorite VG character. How did I first see him? Sonic Heroes. When I got the game, I loved it. Impressive visuals, nice controls, and addicting gameplay. I was GLAD I got this game. I started to drift from Spidey to Sonic from here. And then I saw Zim, but that's not what the review's about.
THE VISUALS: 7/10
The game looks really good, but has a few graphical blemishes. SUCH AS the character models sink into the ground a small bit, the shadows are jumpy, and some characters look a bit too cartoony.
THE GAMEPLAY: 8/10
The gameplay is middled in my opinion. cheap deaths lowered it, such as when I was Sonic, I used the homing attack, got a bit too frisky, and as soon as I locked on for another attack, I flew off the platform. The team gameplay depth helped save the score in this category. The constant switching never kept the gameplay old.
THE AUDIO: 9/10
The sound is pretty good, especially with Doby Digital. However, the voice acting may be cheap at times.
EXTRAS: 6/10
There aren't too many unlockables for the game. Many of them are for multiplayer, but only 2 aren't (Final Story and Metal costumes). The multiplayer, however, has horrendous problems. The framerate goes CONSTANTLY from 30 FPS to 10 FPS, so expect heavy framerate issues.
REPLAYABILITY: 10/10
This is the one good area of the game. It has very good replayability because you can go back to ANY level.
