I have to start off by saying that I have really enjoyed both Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. Yes, I understand the camera could be problematic, but I could tolerate the difficulties. What I could not tolerate was SA 2's fetch quests w/ Knuckles and Rouge, and those are gone, for the most part. I really think that Gamespot should have looked at the camera problem more closely- if you use the C-stick, it'll snap to the first-person view, but if you use the triggers, the camera swings right around, even if you're flying down a rail. Oh, and it doesn't snap back when you start moving. I think it's a pretty big oversight to not notice the primary way that the game tells you to adjust the camera... Also, when looking at the cast of characters, maybe I'm a little more forgiving, thinking that in Japan, maybe some people like these characters. Also, they need at least a couple decent female characters to make it a game that is more suitable for families with daughters rather than sons. Overall, I love the snappy framerate and vibrant color palette, the music suits the game perfectly, and the voice acting isn't too horrible. (Not that it's Masterpiece Theater, but hey...) Tilt-wise, I am a big Sonic fan, and this sates my speed-need at least for a while. I didn't suffer from the problems that the GS reviewer did- except I did have 1 collision problem, but that was out of about 13 hours of play... I think the game is a very strong entry to the Sonic franchise, and a worthy debut on the GC. (I don't count the two previously released, former Dreamcast titles... This is the first new Sonic game on the GC...)
