The Last Good Game to Feature Sonic is truly AMAZING!!!!

Let's face the facts; after 2004, original "Sonic" games (with the exception of the OCCASIONAL original exclusive for the Nintendo Wii), have been NOTHING but a DISASTER! With shoddy camera controls, HORRID story ideas, and HORRENDOUS character developments, they've been nothing but one mind-numbing decision after another! It is mind-boggling how Sonic could go from a high mark game like this, to games that should've NEVER existed like "Shadow the Hedgehog" or "Sonic 2006." I'm almost pretty certain that Nintendo is hands down, the REAL reason the Gamecube version of this game comes off so well, since Sega has NOT been able to release a good Sonic game since THIS one (excluding the occasional original exclusives for the Wii) in order to save its LIFE! The three team character dynamic and being able to switch between the speed, power, and flying type protagonists of each team at any time, actually works very WELL! The challenge is always solid, the graphics are absolutely incredible for Nintendo Gamecube standards, the music and voice acting are awesome, and the story is quite surprising! Instead of another usual Dr. Eggman plot, it turns out to EVERYONE'S surprise that Metal Sonic is the one who is the big bad of this video game! Team Rose (Amy, Cream, and Big), Team Sonic (Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles), Team Chaotix (Espio, Charmy the Bee, and Vector the Alligator), and Team Dark (Shadow, Rouge, and Omega the Robot), must all battle the evil that Metal Sonic (while posing as Dr. Eggman) throws at all the heroes. The stages are all awesome (although the gigantic alligator chase sequence in the Lost Jungle stage that Team Sonic and Team Dark must endure, is something I can LIVE without!) Thankfully, that's the only REAL challenge of the game, and the rest of the game makes up for it! I really love this whole game, and I hope that someday, Sonic and Sega can pull themselves out of their downward spiral, and get back to making more great games like this one! I highly recommend it to anyone who owes a Wii, to play this game!
