Not as good as the other Sonic games on the Game Gear but still good.

This is Sonic's last game on the Game Gear. Sonic Blast is the first and last game where you can play as Knuckles (unless you want to include Sonic Drift 2). That's right Knuckles is a playable character. If you played Sonic & Knuckles then you will have no problem controlling Sonic or Knuckles but even if you did not it is quite easy to pick up and play. (Story)You can control Sonic or Knuckles in a mission to stop Dr Robotnik from taking over the world and destroy his army of badniks along the way. On you way into the game you will be collecting rings defeating bosses and getting the 7 Chaos Emeralds. (Graphics)Graphics are very good. Even knowing that this is a 8 bit hand held. Sonic and Knuckles look 3D when playing the game. Sonic looks a lot like the Sonic from Sonic 3D Blast on the Genesis. The background look just as good as well from the great big loops to the spikes on the floor. (Sound)The music is alright the boss songs are good. plus the sound effects are good when like e.g. you hit some thing or collect a ring. (Gameplay)Playing the game is easy but there is one level that is so hard to do. That level is the water level. If you play this game for the first time then you are going to have problems controlling Sonic or Knuckles on that level. But apart from that everything is fine. (Value)A very hard game just to complete let alone getting the Chaos Emeralds. You will take a while to complete this game. Quite a lengthy game. With 3 acts of each level and with a total of 6 levels and a boss at the end of every 3rd act each on each level make this a long game. (Overall)This is not the best Sonic game on the Game Gear but it is one worth still checking out. If you want to play one of Sonic best games on the Game Gear then go check out Sonic the Hedgehog or Sonic Triple Trouble. they are Sonic best games on the Game Gear but saying that this is still a good game
