Sonic blast... far from the worst of the Game Gear library, but not too good either.
Cons: Graphics are... interesting... but not what the Sonic series was meant to do.
Sonic is extremely slow. So slow, that sometimes he may JUST gain enough speed to pass through loops.
There are a lot of glitches. Getting stuck in loops happens to be the most common.
When you play as Knuckles, you can't even get the good ending. Completing the special stages only grants power-ups .
Easy and mundane boss fights.
Disappointing final boss.
The ear-bleeding music is not helped by the bland and hard to navigate level designs.
Pros: Sonic has a new ability in this game: double jumping, which is essential to beat the game.
Although broken, you can play as Knuckles.
The special stages are decent, with slightly better graphics than the main game, but still decent.
Some of the bosses, even though easy, look pretty cool.
This game got a port on Mastersystem.
