Not even close to the prequel by any means.

User Rating: 5 | Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed IOS

A few months ago, I played Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed for the iPhone. This game is a sequel to Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing which released in 2010 on multiple platforms. There are a few changes made to the game, which include the levelling up system for the cars, new characters and the ability to transform the car into a boat or plane. At first, I was excited to play the game, but now when I play it, I was kinda disappointed.

The new features were nice and the courses and all the other stuff were OK, but I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed with the sequel. The flaws I had found in this game include the fact that most of the characters All-Star moves were downgraded, the loading times can sometimes be ridiculously long and the lack of content compared to other versions. I don't hate this game, but SASRT is just a mediocre game at best in my opinion. It does not come close to the experience I had with the original game and I think that Sega were just trying to be too different with the game to where it doesn't look like a good game at all. The game isn't bad but it does not reach the standards that were set when Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing released.
