Sonic Adventure DX is a poor port of the 1999 Dreamcast classic Sonic Adventure.

User Rating: 7.6 | Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut GC
In 1999 Sega released the first ever 3D Sonic platformer (Sonic 3D was an 2D isometric game & Sonic R is a Racing Game), the game was excellent but it had flaws with the camera and was full of small glitches. In 2003, Sega re-released this game as Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. The 'Director's Cut' must be a typo as the game has more glitches than the Dreamcast original and the camera still hasn't been fixed! Graphics: The graphics in Sonic DX are slightly upgraded from the original Dreamcast version. The characters models are good (better than Sonic Heroes, worse than Sonic Adventure 2) and the Textures have been upgraded. Gameplay: The gameplay in Sonic DX can be split into 6 types, Speed (Sonic), Chase (Tails), Hunt (Knuckles), Evade (Amy), Shoot (E102) and Fish, you read that right, Fish! The best type of game in Sonic DX is obviously speed, the camera problems aren't really an issue when Sonic is thundering along, however in hunt the camera is a huge problems as you can't easly move it to a better position, and when you do as soon as you move it snaps back into it previous postion. The boss battles are quite easy. Story: Sonic DX has a good story for a platformer, I won't give away the details, but you see the story from 6 different perpectives. Sound: The games music is quite good, but it muffles the characters voice during cutscenes. The sound effects are you usual Sonic types. Overall: Sonic DX is a really poor port of the best 3D Sonic game available. If you can get past the glitches you will find a really good game.
