The only reason it has a low rating is because it was so laggy for the first weeks of release... and gamespot gave it the rating it deserved at the time of release.. heck, they were actually being nice with a 6.5, I thought the game was so unplayable when it was launched.. but now that the servers are fixed the game is actually decent. I can play it again.. although it is still laggy and choppy at some parts of the game, but that's socom for ya.... but it doesn't feel the same as socom 2 & 3. this game has a whole different feel to it, in my own opinion. i wish they kept the old controls and and kept vehicles... man i loved the vehicles. and i liked a lot of socom 3 maps. wish they would bring some back.. But the game has some upgrades with customizable characters, and weapon layouts with some cool maps to play on.
