Latest installment on PS3 should have stayed on PS2

User Rating: 7 | SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation PS3
Gameplay:
Compared to the other SOCOMs this one seems to slow down the players movement drastically and makes the maps bigger. I don't find it as fun but they also change the ridiclue that you use to shoot through. Instead of bouncing all over the screen like previous titles this one is a bit more stationary a bit easier to use. No scoping is a joke and needs to be fixed. Grenade throwing is horribly sloppy because you have to guess where the grenade will actually go. Gun fights are good and communication is vital to winning 99% of the time.

Controls:
First off I'd suggest to turn off the motion sensor controls to improve grenade throwing. Instead of standing up and throwing which allows better range the player will crouch and throw. Controls here are easy to learn and it has an easy Push To Talk button integrated for easy talk and move.

Story:
Game is online only and doesn't really present a story other than the missions you pick up from multiplayer which is just commandos vs mercenaries.

Graphics:
One of the weakpoints of the game. The game really looks like it was made for ps2 and I don't understand why. This goes for both the environment and player models. Camos look great though and with the addition of DLC ColdFront there are more weapons and camos. This needs to be work out before the next installment.

Overall:
The game is good for those looking for a break from the fast paced Call of Duty or Halo. This requires a lot more communication because of the different game modes offered. Respawn is available for new people and I would suggest this game to other shooter gamers looking for a challenge. The bugs can be worked around and glitching online blemishes the games fun.
