Come on, Game Spot, a 6.0? You have to at least hand it to the game, online play is awesome!

User Rating: 9 | SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 PSP
SOCOM: US Navy Seals Fireteam Bravo 3. Perhaps one of the longest names in video game history. Also, I think SOCOM means special ops combat, which would just make it longer. But enough with that, let's get on with the review. I tried the first two SOCOMs on the PS2, and, well, they were okay, but didn't give me enough razzle-dazzle. Too focused on tactics, and I like tactics, but I like action more. I decided to get SOCOM FTB on the PSP back in '05, and it was good, but still was a little too frigid for me. The next game I tried? This. First off, I would like to say this is a lot more action-packed then the other games I tried. It also has up to 8 vs. 8 online multiplayer, as well as online co-op, which is amazing. You can customize your character's look for infrastructure or ad-hoc competitive play, and you can also customize weapons like in Call of Duty 4. The campaign is a little short, but the missions are very fun to do. I also liked how there was a death animation for just about every single body part where you shot. You play as Wraith, who teams up with Sandman (who was the one you played in the first FTB) to track down a potential Soviet terrorist threat. Because there are two fireteams now, (fireteam able [Wraith] and fireteam bravo [Sandman]) you have more guys to order around. Honestly, I think Game Spot was playing on easy. Some of the missions you can get by in a flash, but if you set it to the highest difficulty, the game can get very hard. When this happens, you go to the online co-op, where you team up with three other players from around the world to take down a certain mission you were stuck on, or just to have fun. I think this was the first ever PSP game to feature online co-op, and it's pretty cool :D. If you like constant action and fun, engaging multiplayer, get this game!
