Great multiplayer.

In SOCOM you play as a Navy Seal, and must solve different world problems. You command a group of 4 people (you included), and must dissolve different crises. If you buy the version with the included headset (which you'd really need in multiplayer.), you can actually give your teammates commands, and the voice recognizing is quite good, but not perfect; it sometimes misunderstands your commands, but nothing that ever results in serious problems. Even though the singleplayer campaign is fun in it's own right, multiplayer is really where its at.

This is by far the most fun I have had playing a multiplayer game on a console. Even though all the problems inherent with onlinegaming are there, like; Idiots, lag, Idiots, too few good maps, Idiots, not that varied gameplay, and idiots. The only real problem with this game online, is when you get on a team, with a 13-year old boy, who has just made himself leader of the group, and begins shouting orders constantly, and eventually profanity, when your ignoring him. Thank god for the mute button.

There is also another problem, which is the fact that most people playing this game, doesn't dare to strafe off the 3 most common maps, so it can sometimes be hard to find someone to play against on other maps, that the 3 most prevalent. Other than that its a great game to play online, even though it takes, two and a half for the game to actually sign in.

The graphics are nice and pretty, and nothing to poke a stick. In fact I would go as far as to say its beautiful. The sound is also great, with one of the better soundtrack for the console. So, is it worth buying for the singepalyer experience? Nope, not really. Multiplayer? Oh god, yes!
