Wow! I finally get to share my opinion on this game. After beta testing it wor about six weeks, I was extremely concerned that zipper/sony couldn't get this game fixed in time. After playing this game online for a few minutes, I felt so wrong, and it felt so good to be wrong. This game is the ULTIMATE online game... no, not a game, but an experience. Everyone who loved or even remotely liked SOCOM I, will enjoy the hell out of this game. For the first time since January we can play cheat free. The new maps are great (although not always entirely fair to both sides) and the old ones are still classics (with slight new touches, some that only the vets of Socom I will notice). The new modes (Breach and Escort) offer some added variety to a game that wasn't really needing new modes (just new maps). The last Socom game provided more replay value than I ever thought possible, and this game seems ripe to blow the last one out of the water. Without a doubt, if you buy one game FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, this is currently the best option IMO.
