Sniper Elite: Has its good and bad sides, I will explore them in the review.
The most fun you will have playing this game will be playing it online vs. real people. You have your choice of DM or TDM (Death Match or Team Death Match) with up to 8 players per game. In my opinion its one of the most addictive online games I have. In fact I like the online play so much I never actually finished the single player game. This game is worth the price, whatever it may currently be.
I do have to say though, if youre a socom guy or Halo player this is very different thatn you might think. This is after all a SNIPER game. Most of the fun is being able to sneak around undetected, shoot from long distances and overall out smart your opponents by being patient. If you like to run around with a machine gun all day then do not play this game, for your sake and for the sake of all the people you WILL annoy by doing so.
However, having worked in the games industry I did find some very annoying glitches in the game. Some of which most people wouldnt notice. Some of which actually affect the game-play. Some of the most glaring glitches appear throughout a few of the levels. Invisible "walls" (probably polygons) that hinder your movement, and sometimes make your character get stuck for a couple seconds. I also saw a lot of floating props that were not placed properly.
The most annoying is that the servers that run the game (I blame this on Sony for not adopting the XBOX Live model) are really tempermental. You can be fine for a few rounds then all of a sudden you get killer lag. Enough to have most people in that game leave and find other games that are available.
Overall, i would still buy this game even with the glitches and server problems. Like I said before, ver addicting and a whole lot of fun.
